If you haven’t heard of Jacqui Naylor, then you have been missing out on the eclectic sounds from a true artist. Naylor, a San Francisco-based vocalist, perfectly mixes jazz and pop for her latest CD, The Color Five (Ruby Records). This 15-track CD, Naylor’s fifth, will put you in the mood for some singing, dancing, romance, and relaxation. Her renditions of Rod Stewart’s “Hot Legs,” U2’s “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” and Gershwin’s “Summertime” are noteworthy. The track, “You Don’t Know What Love Is,” is reminiscent of one of Sade’s sultry love songs. In the upcoming months, Naylor will be touring in the USA and Europe.
