As summer winds down, you still have time to enjoy a few summer drinks. On top of your list should be a Raspberry Collins. Gin is the key ingredient in this refreshing drink for a hot summer day. The best gin to use is NOLET’S Silver Dry Gin, which is a new spirit from the creators of Ketel One® Vodka. This new gin has already been awarded the Double Gold Medal from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, partly because of its signature botanicals: Turkish rose, peach and raspberry. NOLET’S Silver Dry Gin should definitely be stocked at your home bar right next to the bottle of Ketel One® Vodka.
Raspberry Collins:
- 1.25 oz. NOLET’S Silver Dry Gin
- .5 oz. Simple Syrup
- .5 oz. Lemon Juice
- 3 Raspberries, plus more for garnish
- Soda Water, to top
Stir the first 4 ingredients with ice in a martini shaker and pour into a Collins glass. Top with soda water and garnish with raspberries.
Thema’s Bartending Tip: Some bartenders believe that gin bruises easily, which means that if it is shaken, it will change the taste/flavor of it. As a bartender, I suggest stirring, instead of shaking gin. What is your favorite gin drink?
